Having personally designed over 200 projects in Montana, Kathy Tatom has an abundant amount of local experience and a passion for design. She is driven by learning her client’s personalities and needs in order to bring that out in a mountain home that reflects the family that lives there.
Kathy’s excitement is contagious as she gets to fulfill her client’s dreams. She is surrounded by a wonderful team of Senior Designers and interns that help create all the beautiful projects for Tatom Design.
Originally from Texas, Montana has become home. Kathy has lived in Big Sky, MT for the last 12 years with her husband, Buzz, and her three children. She has always had an interest in design and has followed her dream to create beautiful homes here in the mountains that she loves.

Tehya graduated from Pepperdine University Summa Cum Laude with a Studio Art Degree. We love her dedication and unique artistic flair she adds to every project.
Shelby Reistroffer
Shelby’s background in costume design gives her a great eye for fabrics, patterns, and textures. With this in mind, she brings a unique perspective to Tatom Design.
